Abstract—Long-term data on the composition of precipitation in some regions of the world and in the humid
area of European Russia are analyzed. Hydrogeochemical data on surface streams in some regions of the world
are generalized. Regularities of transformations of rainwater, meltwater, surface water, and groundwater are
estimated using computation criteria and physicochemical modeling. Data from experimental hydrogeochem-
ical observations in drainage basins of Novgorod oblast are used in these studies.
