Abstract—The results of laboratory modeling of technological copper transfer in soils of central Moldova
are reported. The work was aimed at the elucidation of the geochemical barrier effect on copper accumulation
and speciation in the soil sections of agricultural landscapes. The knowledge of these processes is helpful for
the estimation of the age and potential hazard of secondary pollution sources, formed on geochemical barri-
ers, and stimulates the development of methods for environmental protection and solution of other environ-
mental problems.
